“The business world needs skills, ethics and visions. To do well is my duty. Being in charge of the company is my responsibility. Being close to my collaborators is my strength.” This is how Mrs. Gina Biasuzzi, Chairperson of Biasuzzi spa – Divisione Turismo, puts it. She leads the company with firmness and determination. These are the words we would like to use to commemorate International Women’s Day, which was officially established in the United States on 28 February 1909 by the American Socialist Party, which organised a demonstration on that day in favour of women’s right to vote.
However, 8 March did not officially become part of our calendars until 1917, when women of St Petersburg stepped onto the streets to say No to war, demanding an end to it, resulting in the so-called “Russian February Revolution.”
Italy, on the other hand, marks 1922 as the beginning year of this anniversary during which social rights were claimed under the aegis of political demands, but it was not until 1945, when the organisation “Unione Donne in Italia” (Women’s Union in Italy), formed by members of parties such as the Christian Left, The Labour Democratic Party, and the Italian Socialist Party, celebrated Women’s Day in areas of Italy liberated from Fascism.
This day has become a fundamental moment in which we can raise our voices in memory of the rights we have won and the steps we still have to take, against violence and for equal opportunities.
“I love my job. I love being a Woman. I like to think that one thing no longer has to exclude the other. I love earning my place in the world every day, with effort and responsibility. And I like to deprive of space those who tell me that I have no right nor possibility to do so”.
These words were pronounced from the gentle voice of Ilenia Cherubin, Chief Marketing & Sales of Biasuzzi Spa – Divisione Turismo, who carries out her work under an aegis of collaboration and shared value systems that, today more than ever, make Bi Holiday an inclusive place where to build. Together.
“The business world needs skills, ethics and visions.
I am called to participate in this, I do not make it a gender issue.
To do well is my duty.
Being in charge of the company is my responsibility.
To be close to my collaborators is my strength.”

“I am a woman, celebrating my birthday on Women’s Day. I was born prematurely: who knows, maybe it was fate!!!
This has always given me the energy and enthusiasm to face any difficulty, which comes with being a woman. I believe in my abilities without thinking of belonging to a genre. I believe that comparing work on the basis of one’s gender is limiting; there is still work to be done to ensure that the professionalism and skills of each individual are rewarded”

“We are part of a team with whom we face a job that constantly presents us with many challenges. Every challenge we overcome is a reason for us to be satisfied and proud as women and as mothers, and this will teach our children that a woman can be many, many things.”
